Affection

Cormorant fishing is quite an old tradition in Guangxi province of China. But nowadays, the fishermen use their nets and not the birds for fishing. However, some men, like the one in the photograph, have not abandoned their cormorants yet. When no fish is caught in the net, this old man buys fish from the market for his pets and feeds them. The fisherman and his birds hold a strong relationship between them. I was able to capture such a candid and funny moment that also depicts his affection for the old companions.
