About

To see the world, things dangerous to come to, to see behind walls, draw closer, to find each other, and to feel. That is the purpose of life.

Hi There!
This is Ujjal Dey

I am from The City of Joy (Kolkata, India), currently staying in The Lion City (Singapore). I did my engineering at Jadavpur University, Kolkata. I am having 17.5+ years of experience in Software Development. Currently, I am working as a software developer for an investment bank.

I am passionate about photography. I came across a photography club called JUPC (Jadavpur University Photography Club) while doing my engineering. I purchased my first DSLR camera – Nikon D90 in 2008. Currently, I own a Fujifilm X-H1 mirrorless camera. My interests are towards streets, people, and travel photography. I am most fortunate to have a partner-in-crime – my wife, who shares the same interest of photography as mine. Please check the Photography and Photo Story sections for my work.

I like to write codes and develop small applications. I also like to tinker with Raspberry Pi, Arduino, etc., and build some IoT systems. Please check the Project sections for checking out the applications built by me.

I like to drive and swim; fond of music – especially soft, romantic songs, and instrumentals; and least interested in sports. And I never say ‘no’ to chocolates and ice creams.
