The Thee Mithi or fire-walking ceremony is a Hindu festival originating in Tamil Nadu that is celebrated a week before Diwali. The fire-walking ceremony is in honor of the goddess Draupati Amman, who is considered the incarnation of goddess Mariamman, and is practiced not only in India but also in other countries like Singapore, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, etc.
A devotee, wearing an Om and Swastika print kurta, is seen as he waits to take part in the procession from Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple to Sri Mariamman Temple on an auspicious day.
