Stone Bridge Apart from the famous one like Fuli Bridge, there are enormous number of stone bridges over Li and Yulong Rivers in Yangshuo, China. Most of the bridges are at least a century old.Our local guide took us to one of such not-so-famous-yet-beautiful bridges over the calm river.

Affection Cormorant fishing is quite an old tradition in Guangxi province of China. But now-a-days, the fishermen use their nets and not the birds for fishing. However, some men, like the one in the photograph, have not abandoned their cormorants yet. When no fish is caught in the net, this old man buys fish from market for his pets and feeds them. The fisherman and his birds hold a strong relationship between them. I was able to capture such a candid and funny moment that also depicts his affection for the old companions.

The Lady Buddha We met this cheerful lady washing cloths on the bank of the river as we were strolling through a no-so-famous village in Yangshuo, China. Our guide helped us introduced ourselves to her and she was quite excited to know that we were from India. As the conversations went on, we got to know that the statue next to her is called the "Lady Buddha". It's a belief among the villagers that the deity saves the children from getting drowned in the river. That's the reason that the statue is placed next to the river and worshiped by the villagers.
